Business Spotlight

The Bookshelf

For anyone looking for a cozy local spot to spend some time this week, The Bookshelf is a longtime downtown favourite in Guelph. The Bookshelf combines an independent bookstore, cinema, café, and bar all in one space. Whether you’re browsing for a new read, catching a movie, meeting a friend, or just looking for a relaxing place to unwind downtown, it’s one of those uniquely Guelph spots people keep coming back to. With the weather finally warming up and more people spending time downtown again, it’s a great week to stop in and check it out. You can take a look at their website or Instagram here.

Cafe of the Week

A great local spot in the city is Benjamin’s Bodega. The vibe is cozy, the coffee is solid, and it’s one of those places where you can easily spend way longer than planned. Along with drinks and baked goods, they also feature products from tons of local small businesses, so there’s always something interesting to browse while you’re there. It’s a perfect spot for a casual coffee catch-up, or getting a bit of work done. Check them out on their website here or their Instagram here.
