Mosquito Man
This week’s Business Spotlight is Mosquito Man, a local mosquito, tick and pest-control service helping Guelph residents take back their yards during the height of summer. Around Guelph This Week
Guelph gets $33M for wastewater upgrades — The City secured more than $33.4 million in federal funding to expand wastewater capacity, support growth, and help enable nearly 4,400 future housing units.
Downtown $25 vouchers are now rolling out — The DGBA is giving away $25 construction vouchers Tuesday to Saturday to encourage people to keep shopping and eating downtown during construction.
Municipal election deadline is coming — Anyone planning to run for mayor, council, or school board trustee has until Aug. 21 at 2 p.m. to file nomination papers.
Teens still ride transit free — Youth ages 13 to 17 can ride Guelph Transit for free through August with a registered youth OnYourWay fare card.
Two major charities need a new home — The Children’s Foundation and The SEED are looking for a large warehouse space as their Huron Street site is set for redevelopment. The groups support more than 20,000 local children, youth, and families each year.
